Faces Of The War

There were many hundreds of pictures taken during the Civil War that are pretty widely circulated. Whenever new ones are found I jump at the chance to look at them. As was the case with the 700 photographs that were recently donated to the Library of Congress. They are pictures of soldiers, women, and children. From these pictures we got a great view of the everyday, average Joe kind of  people that lived during the Civil War era.
